We come from the world of digestive wellness. As part of the Orange Burps family — a brand built around helping people manage acid reflux naturally — we've spent years listening to people talk about what they've had to give up because of their stomachs. Coffee comes up more than almost anything else.

So we asked a different question: what if the problem isn't coffee itself, but how it's roasted?

That question led us to the research coming out of the UC Davis Coffee Center, which identified Chlorogenic Acid (CQA) — not pH — as the primary compound in coffee that triggers heartburn and reflux. And it led us to patented convection roasting technology that breaks down CQA far more effectively than the drum roasting used by virtually every other coffee brand.
